The question changed while advice was arriving: answer the current one

Check the question before adopting the answer

If a conversation changes while advice is arriving, return to the current question before using the suggestion. A sensible response to an earlier sentence can commit you to something no longer being requested.

Aurora offers optional help formulating replies or clarifying requests during a live session. This guide proposes a manual context check, not automatic detection of outdated advice or an accuracy or latency test.

“Can you review it today?” becomes “tomorrow instead”

Imagine a fictional conversation. Someone asks, “Can you review the draft today?” While you prepare your reply, they add, “Wait—tomorrow would be better, once I add the final section.”

Suppose, only for our example, a proposed reply says, “Yes, I’ll review it today.” It no longer answers the arrangement being discussed. Its problem is the earlier commitment, not unnatural wording.

You could ask in your own words, “Would the review be tomorrow, after you add that section?” That seeks confirmation; it does not promise you are available or quote a real session. If you do not know your availability, say so rather than accepting a proposal automatically.

Check three things without reconstructing the meeting

  1. Current request: what is being asked after the latest clarification? In our example, today is no longer the requested review date.
  2. Condition: does the reply depend on a new version or another action? Here the new section is still missing.
  3. Your commitment: can and do you want to do what you are about to say? Generated wording does not check your calendar or decide for you.

If the audio or text did not make the clarification clear, ask. Do not finish “tomorrow, once…” with an invented condition. You can discard an earlier suggestion and answer what you have confirmed.

Use the controls without assuming a guarantee

Aurora’s facts document manual Propose reply, Ctrl+Enter, optional cadence, pausing advice and listening, countdown and preparing states. Automatic advice is disabled by default. Choosing when to request help does not establish that a suggestion captures every conversational change.

Live assistance requires a running pipeline with Both, internet, a Codex account, access and available usage limits. It uses recent system and microphone context and can send text and guidance to Codex/OpenAI. The local caption and translation core has a different scope. This is not a promise of fully local or unlimited assistance.

Check the fit before choosing

Windows Live Captions and Chrome Live Caption were consulted on 25 October 2026 as captioning references. Their pages do not establish Aurora’s assistance feature or an accuracy advantage.

Aurora is a paid product for compatible Windows 11 PCs. Review its features, requirements and licensed download before buying. Rehearse this fictional exchange: identify the latest request and formulate only the commitment you actually want to make.
