The caption covers Pause: moving it and letting clicks through are separate choices

Separate text placement from the click destination

If a caption covers a player’s Pause button, you need both to see the control and to click it. Moving the overlay can clear the view; the documented click-through mode lets clicks reach the application underneath. Position lock is described as preventing accidental overlay movement. Do not treat it as evidence that clicks already pass through.

The official overlay guide documents top, bottom or custom placement, dimensions, appearance, position lock and click-through. This guide applies those controls to a concrete decision without inventing shortcuts or menu names.

A video to read and music to pause

In this fictional example, you are playing your own tutorial video and have left music running in another app. You want to pause the music. The caption sits over the music player’s control.

Before clicking repeatedly, identify what needs changing:

  • Pause is hard to see: choose another overlay position or adjust its dimensions. Letting a click through does not remove the text covering a control.
  • You can see the control, but the overlay intercepts interaction: review click-through. Its documented purpose is to let clicks reach the underlying app.
  • The position is right, but you move it accidentally: review position lock. This addresses unintended movement.

These are three different checks. The example does not claim we observed this failure in Aurora or that every player or game behaves identically.

Prepare the combination before a long session

  1. Use a video you own and playback you can pause and resume for this check.
  2. Place captions where you can read them and identify the controls you need.
  3. Review position, locking and click-through separately in Aurora’s current options. Keep track of the setting you change.
  4. Check the result on your PC: text remains readable and interaction reaches the intended control.
  5. If you change windows, player size or layout, check that combination again.

We propose no undocumented recovery key or click sequence. Placement, font size, background and line count are reading adjustments; choose for the material you are following.

For the separate question of which sounds enter capture, use the existing WASAPI guide. Here the decision concerns window interaction rather than repeating an audio-source test.

Check the product you intend to use

Aurora is a paid product for compatible Windows 11 PCs. Its caption and translation core is local; activation, validation and model preparation may need internet. Review the official facts and current download, which requires a valid licence. The cover is an illustrative PC-use scene, not a screenshot of these controls.
